For more than 30 years, creativity has been the thread running through Monica’s life: as a graphic designer, art director, art educator, studio owner and artist.
Over time, her relationship with art began to change. She became less interested in teaching people how to make something “correctly” and more interested in what happens when we become curious, experiment, follow an instinct and see where it leads.
Her own midlife transition deepened that curiosity. Creativity became a way of paying attention again: to what interested her, what she was noticing and what happened when she gave herself permission to follow it.
I’ve spent a lot of my life asking, “How can I?”
I want Moods to be a place where your ideas are met with,
“Yes. Let’s see where that could go.”
For three years, Moods has been Monica’s creative home in Waukesha, where she creates original artwork, curates meaningful exhibitions that invite women to think, experiment, make and connect through art.
